In spring 2026, I directed, filmed and edited three videos for Révolution TVA and Toyota bZ with Groupe Fair-Play. The project placed the show’s Masters at the centre of encounters with people from their world. Beyond the branded content, it offered an opportunity to share stories, ideas and a common passion for dance.

Filming took place on April 30, 2026 at Robin des Bois in Montréal’s Parc La Fontaine. The three videos focused on Mel, Vincent and Lydia. Each encounter had its own character: my work was to give them visual unity while leaving room for what made each one different.

Directing and cinematography came together in that attention to people. A filmed interview isn’t only about the answers: framing, lighting, the conversation’s rhythm and the relationship between participants all shape what we feel. I wanted the images to accompany the encounter and the brand context to find its place within the whole.

I then edited the three videos in parallel. Working this way allowed me to build coherence between them while seeking a rhythm and music suited to each exchange. I love this stage when recorded images become a story, when we choose what needs room to breathe and what should move us forward.

The first video, featuring Mel and 7Starr, was released on June 3, 2026. Its reception was especially touching. Knowing that Mel had been moved by the edit and by the shared moment gave the project a value beyond simply delivering a video. It’s one of the beautiful things about this work: the people we film can recognize something of their own experience in the images.

I have very fond memories of this collaboration with Fanny St-Amand, Andrée-Anne Roberge and the Groupe Fair-Play team. The project brought together preparation, filming and postproduction, with a shared desire to bring out the encounters.

In my independent practice, these videos feed what I love to create: carefully crafted images that remain close to people. The movement came from dance, but also from stories passing from one person to another.
