In summer 2019, I took part in filmingNombreux et heureux en vacances, a documentary series produced by Anémone Films and broadcast on Canal Vie. Camera in hand, we followed large families on their getaways, to the rhythm of activities, encounters and unexpected moments.

The adventure first took me to Abitibi with the Boutin family from July 22 to 27, then to Cape May in early August. For filming with the Rochefort family, I worked alongside director Anne-Marie Sylvestre, Frédéric Cusson and Louis-Philippe Amiot, among others.

On this project, the essential thing was to capture moments as they happened. With a family on holiday, the action doesn’t wait for perfect framing! My camera work required attention, mobility and readiness to adapt, capturing what would feed the story.

Beyond the images, I have fond memories of the teamwork. Those days on the road relied on patience, mutual support and everyone’s involvement. That’s also what memories of filming are: places we discover, stories we help tell and connections formed behind the camera.
