NumériQ and Québecor Média: More Than a Year of Digital Creation

In June 2021, I joined NumériQ, Québecor Média’s digital division, for a directing contract that would last a little over a year. During that time, I devoted myself fully to creating digital content, moving from subject to subject and working with editorial teams.
The collaboration included projects for Le 24 Heures, L’actualité intime and Silo 57. Formats and worlds changed, but the work followed the same thread: finding a way to tell a subject’s story through video, preparing the shoot and building a narrative that could live on digital platforms.
My archives bring me back to shoots on the Côte-Nord in June 2021, a story about K-pop dancers in August and features about the start of university and a heat wave in September. That variety was part of my daily life: moving from the field to the edit, adapting to the people I met and shaping content with the team.
In 2022, the exchanges also document projects around the metaverse, Nabil Queen and formats such as Guess Who. I collaborated in particular with Félix Pedneault on several pieces. Other assignments, including Silo 57 videos, extended the relationship after the contract period.
This chapter holds a special place in my independent filmmaking career. Working within the same team for more than a year allowed me to invest in continuous production while retaining the flexibility needed to approach very different subjects.
These archives open the door to memories I’ll share here through future articles. Behind every video are a place, an encounter, directing decisions and a collaboration that deserves its own story.
