This report, produced by Félix Pédneault for 24Heures, features Claudine Girard, owner of the ChezNat canteen in Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan on the North Shore. For 24 years, she has managed this summer business, which is popular with locals and tourists alike. The canteen initially operated from a Canadiens-branded van, which was replaced in 2004 with a larger vehicle to better serve its customers.

Although the main kitchen has since been relocated to an adjacent building, the old van remains on site as an iconic symbol of the establishment and the community.

However, the municipality demanded its disposal, deeming the vehicle a danger to public safety. Claudine and her team therefore launched a campaign to save this historic symbol, hoping to transform it into an outdoor dining space—a "mobile dining room"—to give it a second life while preserving its unifying role and identity for the community.
